KRUIZ JENKINS

Kruiz is 10 (nearly 11). He first tried skiing at age 2, when dad, Scott, ran along the bank pulling him along the water on his skis. (Who needs a Malibu?)When he was just 3 years old, Kruiz was skiing on doubles out the back of the boat on a rope.

Then the drought came along, so at the age of 7, he went to Brett Sands Ski School,
where he learnt to ski on a single, on a boom or learning bar.kruiz

As there was still little opportunity to ski because of the
lack of water, Kruiz had to start again. In October, 2010,  Kruiz started again, skiing on doubles. He quickly progressed to a single, before Christmas, and then tried wakeboarding.

He can jump from outside the wash, into the middle. Kruiz has also learnt to “wrap up”, like a ski racer, whilst skiing on  a single, in preparation for his ski racing debut.

Kruiz wants to ski race behind his dad’s boat in the Point  Score series in the U/13 division from next season.

His hero is his dad, who after a bad accident, fracturing his skull, is still out there having a red hot go. Go Kruiz. You are a truly great kid, with loads of personality, talent and courage. All the best for your ski racing, all you other U/13 ‘s look out for Kruiz.
